With a minor in Sociology, you'll gain knowledge about the human experience, including race and ethnicity, the economy and marketplace, education, family, social theory and inequality, and other related topics.

We'll discuss social behavior and human interaction in small groups and the larger processes involved in the development and change of social institutions and societies.

Your Sociology minor will broaden your educational experience and sharpen your critical thinking skills, giving you the ability to analyze and report on social arrangements and social policy.

Careers in sociology are in private and public sectors, such as government, human resources, or non-profit organizations.

 

To declare a minor, complete the "Applying for a Minor" survey online, and you will be given further instructions. Once this has been processed you will receive an e-mail confirmation from the Advisement Center.
