We are going VIRTUAL!

The UW-Stout Fall 2020 Virtual Career Conference provides employers an opportunity to connect with students, faculty, and staff to promote job opportunities and discuss career options. Each day of the conference is targeted to specific majors/industries.

Virtual career fairs are online 'events' that allow employers and students to meet in virtual environments such as through voice calls or video chat rooms, and offer a number of advantages to both students and employers!  

Employers enjoy lower recruiting costs through the ability to virtually screen quality candidates, receive electronic resumes and save time and costs associated with traveling to participate in on-site events. We will be working with Career Fair Plus to host our upcoming virtual career fair, to create an intuitive, user-friendly experience for students and employers. About the Fall Virtual Career Conference

Dates: September 29 - October 1

Who is allowed to attend? 

  • UW-Stout students, alumni and faculty/staff
  • Employers recruiting UW-Stout students and alumni for professional positions and co-op/internships 



Recruiters schedules will be unlocked starting Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 8AM.

September 29

9AM-12PM: Engineering & Technology Industries

1PM-4PM: Packaging, Printing, Design Industries


September 30

9AM-12PM: Hospitality & Tourism/Property Management/Golf Industries

1PM-4PM: Construction Industry


October 1

9AM-12PM: Business/Management/Marketing Industries

1PM-4PM: Science/Health/Research/Education/Human Services

Employer Registration Fees

$325.00 per day

After August 28, 2020 - $375.00 per day

***$150 for certified 501(c)(3) organizations

Employers may attend more than one day if they choose.



  • Pre-scheduled time-slots for students to sign up prior to event start 

  • Unlimited private 1:1 video conferencing with students 

  • Large “rooms” available for information sessions 

  • Invitation to a live session with Chancellor Frank (exclusive to Career Conference attendees)

How to Register


  1. Log in to CareerLink (Click on the EMPLOYER LOGIN icon on the right)
  2. Log in with your username and password
  3. Click on "Recruitment and Event Registration" (on the left)
  4. Click "+Add Request" box (top of page)
  5. Box will appear to choose "OCR event"
  6. Drop down to "Career Conference", click continue
  7. Complete the form – the red *’d items must be completed before it will let you advance, click submit at the bottom
  8. Click on "+" sign on the right to select item(s) to purchase including fee for day and select session(s) you are requesting, click on + sign on the right
  9. An Order Summary will appear, click pay by credit card and a form will appear info, or click pay by check and an invoice will appear to print for your records
  10. **  Payment via credit card is preferred, or print an invoice and send with a check payable to UW-Stout Career Services, 712 S. Broadway Street, 103 Administration Building, Menomonie WI 54751 
  11. An email confirmation will be sent to you after registration is processed.
Schedule Virtual Interviews

In response to COVID-19 UW-Stout will only be offering virtual interviews. We understand companies have varying needs when it comes to conducting virtual interviews.

Our team is here to help you advertise, coordinate signup and provide a platform to conduct virtual video interviews. We welcome you to utilize your own technology understanding you will need to provide students access to your platform or utilize our platform and gain access by logging into CareerLink. 

Price: Free

Dates: Weekdays, September - May  (Academic Calendar)

Interviewing Hours: 8:00AM - 8:00PM

*Career Services will provide technical support 8:30AM-4:00PM


How to Reserve an Interview:

  • Virtual interviews require a separate registration from your career conference registration.
  1. Log into CareerLink
  2. Click "Recruitment and Event Registration," located on the left navigation
  3. Click “Add Request +”, located in the upper right corner
  4. Select “Virtual Interviews”, in the drop-down menu
  5. Click “Continue”
  6. Enter virtual interview information into the form
  7. Click “Submit”

Note: Your Request will not come through to our office until you click on "Submit Request"
