Virtual Career Fair Set Up & Troubleshooting

Virtual Career Fair Schedule Setup
Once registration is approved, you will be asked to share the number of representatives who plan to attend the career fair. Each representative must have a Handshake user account.

Each representative who registers will be able to create their own unique schedule to meet with students. If your company/representatives do not build your schedule(s), students will not be able to sign up to meet with you! To learn more about this process, we encourage you to view this Handshake-hosted training webinar. 1:1 sessions are preferred to group sessions. This is because, for group sessions, students must enter the session by the start time or they will not be able to get into the session.

Please have your schedules/sessions set in Handshake by FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 17.

Students will begin signing up for sessions on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 20.

Resources to help you prepare for the fair

Request your next day on-campus interview(s)

For Fall 2021 we are conducting next day on-campus interviews in the Memorial Student Center September 28-30.

We will not be accommodating same day interviews (example: you attend morning fair and wish to interview in the afternoon of that same day).

Interviews will begin at 8:30am and conclude at 4:00pm. Interview timeslots will run in 30-minute increments.

Employers will select students for interviews during the Career Fair(s) and fill out the schedule sheet (provided) for their own records. In addition, when employers invite a student to interview, please provide the student with a yellow interview card (provided to you) corresponding with the timeslot on the schedule sheet.

Requests to participate in on-campus interviews must be submitted via Handshake by Tuesday, September 21 to allow for Career Services to prepare all materials for you.

  1. Log into Handshake
  2. Request your next day on-campus interview(s) (How to request an interview schedule)
  3. Please include your start and end times in the details box within the request
  4. If you haven't already, please post your open position(s) to Handshake prior to the Career Fair (How to post a job).
  5. *Optional* For marketing purposes, application instructions could include: "Please connect with us at the Career Fair.”

Career Services will review your request and add a comment to your request in Handshake when approved or if more information is needed.

Final confirmation and logistical information will be emailed to you the week prior to the interviews.
