Nicholle has worked in the instructional design and development field for 20 years. She assisted in designing and developing the first fully online course for the University of Northern Iowa in 1996. Nicholle has since worked in the web-based instructional field both in the corporate sector and in higher education.

Ms. Stone worked for Arthur Andersen, one of the world's largest consulting firms, as a Technology Consultant and converted traditional training to online delivery and developed large-scale internal online instruction on an international team.

After the firm, Nicholle worked for 9 years at the University of Wisconsin-Stout as the Web-Based Instructional Development Coordinator and then as the Director of Learning Technology Services. In that role, she managed and led the following services: faculty development, distance education, the university website, media services, multimedia development, graphics, and new instructional technologies. She taught courses including: Futures of Technology, Introduction to Media in Education and Training, Learning Technologies, and Designing Your Online Classroom, and in 2007 she was awarded the Chancellor’s Academic Staff Award for Excellence.

She recently served as the Director, Teaching & Learning Innovation and Distance Education at the University of South Florida-Polytechnic.

Prior to that, she was the Director of Instructional Development at Colorado State University-Global Campus, a completely online university. At CSU-GC, she managed the instructional development team and processes, the instructional technology support, as well as faculty development and support. Nicholle also worked as an Instructional Design Project Manager developing online courses for CSU-GC.

Professional Interests: Return On Investment (ROI), leveraging technology in education, Learning Management Systems (LMS), designing and developing reusable learning objects (RLOs), leadership, business management, emotional intelligence.
