Where on campus can I find Safe Spaces?
Everyone who completes UW-Stout’s Safe Space Program receives a Safe Space magnet and certificate to display in their office, classroom, or residence hall room. Every time you see the Safe Space magnet, you know allies are close by.
Afternoon T is for students who identify as transgender, genderqueer, nonbinary, genderfluid, agender, or any other gender expansive identity, or are currently questioning their gender. This group provides a specific opportunity in an all-trans and gender expansive space to discuss experiences and issues of transness, dysphoria, gender theory, and much more.
Open Door is a confidential, drop-in discussion and support group for students who are LGBTQIA+ identified or Questioning. The group meets weekly during the school year. Join us anytime for interesting discussion and opportunities to give and receive support around coming out and other issues.
QTPOC is a support group for LGBTQIA+ students of color. The group meets bi-weekly during the school year. Join us anytime for interesting discussion and opportunities to give and receive support around coming out and other issues.
