Parking on the UW-Stout campus is regulated throughout the entire calendar year.
In this Section

Parking on the UW-Stout campus is regulated throughout the entire calendar year, and any parking must comply with the guidelines established in the documents on this website.  All legitimate parking must be authorized by Parking Services by permit, meter, posted time limit, or phone authorization.

Parking information must be obtained from Parking Services.  Incorrect information provided by another source is not considered a valid defense of a parking violation.

Please view parking updates on a regular basis to avoid receiving a parking citation while parking on the UW-Stout campus. All updates and news will be featured below.

Career Conference - Lot 29 Closed

Parking Lot 29 (just north of the outside track) will be closed for the Career Conference on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 3 and 4, 2020.

Please reference the back of your permit or the information sheet that was provided with your permit for alternative lots to park in.

"C" commuter permit holders will be allowed to park in the Pay By Plate area (the north section) of Lot 18 without paying the pay station for these two days only.  "C" permit holders are NOT valid in Lot 4.

License Plate Recognition

The license plate recognition system is now active and any vehicle changes must be reported to Parking Services so your account can be updated.

  • The add vehicle form can be found on the Parking Services main page along the right-hand side.
  • Be sure your license plate is facing the drive lane so the license plate can be read.
  • If you want to delete or edit a vehicle from your account, e-mail Parking Services at

New Electronic Pay Stations

Pay stations became active August 1, 2019!  These pay stations replaced approximately 90 coin-operated meters that were located in lot 14 and lot 18.  With that, lots 14 and 18 will be configured differently.  This DOES affect regular permit holders, too!  Visitor parking lots 27 and 29 also have pay stations installed.  The pay stations feature cash and card payment options with an extend-by-phone feature.  Continue to check our website, specifically the short-term parking options for all information.

2019-20 Parking Permits

There are a limited number of permits available and you must come into the Parking Office to purchase one.  You can contact the Parking Office at 715-232-1792 or e-mail
