Tamara Brantmeier is is a Professor of Art, and currently serves as the Associate Vice Chancellor of Partner and Student Engagement. She completed her Masters of Fine Arts at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in 2000, and finished her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in 1992.
   
For nineteen years Tamara has taught all levels of Painting and Drawing at UW-Stout. Professor Brantmeier has piloted many initiatives focusing on first year students and has collaborated with multiple teams on campus to create experiences for historically marginalized students.
   
She served as Program Director for the BFA in Art in 2010-2013, and has served as interim Program Director for the BFA in Industrial Design and the BFA in Entertainment Design. Tamara was the Director of the School of Art and Design from 2013-2016.
   
Tamara has received numerous artist fellowships, travel grants, and artist residencies, and was awarded the Dahlgren Professorship from UW-Stout in 2013.
