Small Town Charm with a Big Personality

With a population of just over 16,000, Menomonie is a traditional yet progressive city. We invite you to walk along the beautiful Lake Menomin in the heart of the city, attend summertime concerts and ice cream socials in one of our many parks, and take in a sporting event, festival, or the many other traditions that Menomonie has to offer.

You can explore the outdoors along the river, forests, and prairies. Eat local food. Meet up with friends at the breweries and coffee shops. There’s a lot to do outside of Stout. / UW-Stout

Thriving Downtown

Take a stroll down Main Street and swing into dozens of local boutiques, restaurants, salons, and retailers. Designated as a national Downtown Historic District, this ten-block stretch boasts countless activities throughout the year. The restored Victorian-era Mabel Tainter Theater offers live seasonal plays, while the beautiful Red Cedar River and miles of bike trails wind their way through the city. Whether you're looking to relocate or just to visit for the day, Menomonie has something for everyone to enjoy.

Industry and Services

Menomonie continues to grow and develop new business opportunities with a strong base of national industry partners including 3M, Ford Motor Company, ConAgra Foods, WalMart Distribution, Andersen Windows, Phillips Plastics Corporation, and other leaders in industry and manufacturing. We are privileged to have the state-of-the-art Mayo Clinic Health System – Red Cedar hospital and clinic, a beautiful library overlooking the shores of Lake Menomin, and an excellent K-12 public school system.
