I grew up in a small town in Western Wisconsin. After graduating high school, I moved to Winona, MN for college and then lived in Madison for 7 years.  I decided to move back to the Menomonie area to be close to family and worked in Organic Grocery Coops for 16 years as a produce / meat buyer before joining the Transfer Team at UW-Stout.

Advice for a new student:

Join as many clubs as you can. It is easier to meet new people and make new friends in college than it is after you get out. Establish those relationships now and try any clubs that interest you.

College Major/Minor:

My major was English Writing and my minor was Women's Studies.

Why did you choose your major?

I wanted to read novels and write poetry. No one was going to stop me from being a women's studies minor! That was the number one interest I had entering college.

What do you love most about UW-Stout?

Unique majors! From Packaging to Art to Game Development and Food Science. So many cool options!

My favorite thing to do in Menomonie is…

Eating the cheese curds at The Silver Dollar. The popovers at Wilson Creek Inn. Any food by Chef Stacey at Nonic Brewery.

A random fact about me...

I was born on Halloween.
