I am an organismal biologist interested in understanding the molecular and cellular mechanisms that underly social behaviors in insect systems. Most recently, my research aims to understand whether and how gut microbes contribute to behavioral trait variation in the honey bee, Apis mellifera.

At the University of Wisconsin - Stout, I teach BIO 136: College Molecular and Cell Biology I, and BIO 111: Science, the Environment, and Sustainability.
