Navigate app helps your student from start to finish

A mobile adviser in the palm of their hand
September 7, 2023

UW-Stout uses EAB Navigate to improve student success. This initiative is used by all UW system campuses and is one of the most powerful systems used by universities looking to improve the student experience. The Navigate app is a mobile adviser that helps students get from orientation through graduation.

The app helps students choose the right major, navigate requirements ranging from financial aid and housing to course registration, and stay on top of important dates and deadlines.

Connecting with classmates

One of the best social tools in the Navigate app is called “Study Buddies.” Study Buddies allows students to connect with peers in classes and arrange study sessions focused on specific topics or general issues. This feature can help your student find classmates looking to pair up and study.

Encourage your student to download the app and use it throughout the year, especially early on. Here is a demonstration video from another university that uses Study Buddies.

How does my student find Navigate?

Download Navigate in the App Store or Google Play or by searching for “Navigate College Simplified.”

For the desktop/web version, your student can log in on their desktop browser. They’ll use the same username and password they use for all of their university accounts.
