Consulting
We are happy to meet with any area on campus to provide overall marketing consultation which may include a review or audit of current marketing communications activities and/or marketing plan development. Please contact Gary Schuster for assistance in this area.
Story Development
MarCom uses a wide variety of story development mediums to showcase UW-Stout to prospective students, employers, donors, partners, and the community. These mediums include news stories, web content, social media posts, testimonials, and more. Please send your story ideas to: stoutstories@uwstout.edu.
Hometown News Service
Marketing Communications provides a hometown news service for students through The Link, a national news service in Iowa City, Iowa. Using data furnished by the Registration and Records Office, MarCom staff forward appropriate information to The Link for publication in newspapers throughout the country. Newspapers selected for a particular student are based on the zip code of the home address entered by Registration and Records upon enrollment.
The service reports newsworthy information: Dean's List recognition, graduation, awarding of scholarships, cooperative education placement, and other notable activities. When a release is submitted each student receives an email with options to link the story to Facebook, Twitter, or other social media sites.
Website Edits & Analytics
UW-Stout uses the Drupal 8 content management system (CMS) to support web content management at our university. Please contact your department's Drupal web editor for assistance with web content updates. If your department does not have a Drupal web editor, please email webmaster@uwstout.edu for assistance. You can also contact the webmaster by email to obtain analytics.
Faculty and Staff Web Directory Updates
