Stellic is a tool that UW-Stout students, faculty, and staff can use to help support increased graduation rates and decrease the cost of college. It shows program requirements for each individual student and makes it easy to ensure students are on track to graduate as soon as possible. Stellic solves several frequent problems very well:
- It provides a visually clear way for students to track their degree progress and helps identify and avoid courses that will not count.
- Students can see which courses and requirements are already completed so they don't accidentally repeat a requirement they have already fulfilled.
- It shows students if they have cleared all pre-requisites for a course, so they can avoid delays during registration or during degree sequencing.
- Academic advisors can see which courses students are planning and confirm those are correct so students stay on track to graduate on time.
- Academic advisors can leave notes to explain why students should take certain courses at certain times.
- Students can register for classes right in Stellic which eliminates chances for miscommunication or misregistration.
